James J. Anderson, CPA, Partner
Jim graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland. Over the past twenty-six years, Jim has worked with numerous non-profit organizations, colleges and private schools, churches, corporations and small-business owners on various consulting, tax and accounting projects. Prior to establishing Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA, Jim was employed with other certified public accounting firms located in Baltimore, including a “Big 4″ international accounting firm and one of Maryland’s oldest and largest regional firms.
Jim consults with numerous organizations regarding their internal controls, budgets, payroll systems, financial and tax matters. Jim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
He has served in various capacities with the non-profit organization, Pasadena Business Association, over the past nineteen years, including Treasurer and President. He also serves in volunteer advisory capacities on a variety of committees with private schools, churches and youth-sports organizations.
Michael C. Davis, CPA, Partner
Mike obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Wheeling Jesuit University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland. After beginning his public accounting career with one of Maryland’s largest and oldest certified public accounting firms, Mike later joined James Anderson to form Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA.
Mike has specialized in non-profit organizations for over twenty-one years in public accounting. He has been an instructor of seminars conducted for certified public accountants and non-profit organizations on such topics as Fund Accounting For Not-for-profit Organizations, IRS Form 990 Preparation, Not-for-profit Endowment Spending, Implementation of Not-for-profit FASB’s 116 and 117, OMB Circular A-133/Government Auditing Standards audit requirements and Effective Financial Reporting for Not-for-profit Organizations. Mike continues his leadership role in serving non-profits through continued education in issues relating to Government Auditing Standards, OMB Circular A-133, taxes, non-profit audit, accounting and management concerns. Mike has been involved in auditing and consulting with for-profit entities and non-profit organizations such as private schools, churches, colleges, health and welfare organizations, membership organizations, social service organizations, with and without federal funding. He also works with small-business owners on various consulting, tax and accounting matters.
Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), along with being actively involved in various community service non-profit organizations. He has been serving in an over twenty-year volunteer capacity as board member, including Treasurer, with Friends of the Maryland State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. He also serves in advisory capacity for Baltimore Adapted Recreation and Sports, an all-ages wheelchair sports organization, and has served as Group Chairman of his alma mater, Archbishop Curley High School’s first-time Endowment Campaign.
Danette M. Cline, CPA, Manager
Dana graduated from Loyola University in Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland. Dana began her public accounting career in 1995 with Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA and also has experience working in private sector business. As Manager, she is in charge of planning, performing and supervising financial statement audits, reviews and compilations and related tax and consulting services for businesses and individuals. She has consulted with for-profit and non-profit organizations regarding internal controls and general ledger accounting software matters. Dana is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Dana is an elected member of her church’s Leadership Team and is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
Jay R. Kapadia, CPA, Manager
Jay is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland and has been with Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA since 2000. In May 2004, he graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Jay received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore in May 2005.
Jay has planned, performed, and supervised financial audits, reviews and compilations for various for-profit and non-profit organizations, including related tax and consulting services for businesses and individuals. He also specializes in audits of Employee Benefit Plans. Jay is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
Benjamin M. Yust, CPA, Manager
Ben started his public accounting career in 2006 with Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA. Ben received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Mount St. Mary’s University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland. He also plans and performs audits, reviews and compilations of for-profit and non-profit organization financial statements, as well as providing tax and consulting services to businesses and individuals. Ben is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
Chantal B. Suter, Accountant
Chantal joined Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA in November 2006. Chantal received her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore in May 2002, and her Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Abidjan in December 1996. Chantal provides accounting, tax and compilation services to various for-profit and non-profit organizations. She is currently a Certified Public Accountant Candidate in Maryland.
Matt P. Criswell, Accountant
Matt joined Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA in May 2008. Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College in 2010 and he is currently in the process of obtaining his Certified Public Accounting license in Maryland. He also provides a variety of accounting, tax, and financial statement services, such as audit, review and compilation services, to many for-profit and non-profit organizations.
Heather M. Adamski, Accountant
Heather joined Anderson, Davis & Associates, CPA in June 2010 and in December 2010 will graduate from Towson University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. She is pursuing her Certified Public Accountant license in Maryland and is involved in a variety of for-profit and non-profit client services.
